About Us

Minds Flight provides life enhancing grants and support for people of all ages suffering with a long-term illness, convalescing or disabled, and for their carers.

Minds Flight is a charitable restricted fund under the auspices of The Haigh Foundation which is a registered charity in England and Wales (no.1192767).

We also provide a dedicated Armed Forces support service, offering confidential, bespoke, individual information, advice and guidance and signposting for the armed forces community, whether you are still serving, a family member, a carer, ex-services, a veteran or a reservist.

We are currently raising funds to help as many as we can in the United Kingdom initially and welcome your support.

Minds Flight offers grants which are used to provide time out activities, respite or convalescence breaks, medical and household aids. The aim is to alleviate daily struggles, enabling people to continue to live and move around as independently as possible.

Our primary purpose is to provide support and make grants available to fund or part-fund short breaks away, activities for those, including carers, currently living in the United Kingdom:
  • Who are in need of a short break or time out activity for the purpose of convalescence, recuperative care or respite care;
  • Who do not possess adequate resources to fund themselves; and
  • Who have been unable to obtain sufficient assistance from the statutory services.

Grants are currently available for persons resident in the UK for short breaks or activities, we hope to expand later into different countries. Grants for short breaks are taken with approved specialist providers.
